Jamplay Guitar Lessons – Learn The Facts Before You Decide

without comments

I think every website that has done a review of Jamplay guitar lessons only tells you the positive things it has to offer.

But an informed decision can only be made if you see the whole picture – the good aspects of Jamplay as well as the bad things.

Don’t get me wrong, Jamplay is truly fantastic and I do like most things about my membership. However, we all know that no product is perfect, and this one is no different.

After learning from Jamplay, here are what I perceive as the negatives:

1. Information overload – almost every guitar membership site can be overwhelming because of the pure volume of information. There are literally thousands of videos and lessons and it is easy to get lost.

Jamplay is no different. You should be fine if you stay focused on the lesson plan they provide to get you started , but be careful not to get too distracted by everything else until you know the basics.

2. Forums – I shouldn’t necessarily call the forums a negative thing because you can learn a lot from other members. But they can become a negative when all you do is spend your time reading and posting.

Again, stay focused on why you joined the site and this should keep you from getting too overwhelmed with the forums.

3. Private instruction – just like any other online guitar site, with Jamplay you don’t have private one-on-one instruction.

You do have the option, however, to submit your questions to the instructors and have them answered via video.

While this a good thing, you still do not have the private on-on-one instruction. But this is a trade-off – private instruction is pricey, sometimes as much as $50 for 1/2 hour. However, if you find that you need that the hand holding and can stick to a private instructors schedule, then maybe you are better suited for private instruction.

So, before you start with Jamplay guitar lessons, make your you consider both the positives and negatives.
