The movie is a great blend of amazing graphics and acting skills and brings to life on the big screen, the imagination of millions of Harry Potter readers and fans. There are scenes where they do tend to miss the mark but overall theyve managed considerably well to bring the famous fictitious characters to life, becoming the very faces of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermoine Granger. Other regular characters including Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon), Rubeus Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) and Severus Snape (Alan Rickman), continue to get under the skin of their characters. Rickman in particular manages really well to essay the various nuances of the mysterious and dark character of professor Snape.

Both the Cinematography and the special effects of the movie have contributed a great deal to the enjoyment of the movie which appears wholesome and can stand alone. In spite of this, fans will notice that many characters present in the book such as the Dursleys and Winkie are missing in the movie. This is chalked up to the time restraints of the movie which is already longer than other English films.
